What is MarathonMasters?

ToastmastersMarathonMasters is a Toastmasters club dedicated to helping its members become better speakers and leaders.  Guests are always welcome, so come by for a visit to see what we're all about.  We meet Thursdays at noon at Webster Univeristy located at 1200 E 104th Street, Kansas City, MO, in room 225.

  • Explain new concepts more easily and successfully to others.
  • Fill into those roles that require speaking ability, such as in giving a toast or a best man's speech at a wedding.
  • Present material in meetings at their jobs with additional confidence.
  • Move up the employment ladder into higher level leadership positions.
  • Improve their interviewing skills.

White Elephant / Potluck (12/17/2009)

To celebrate our last meeting before the Christmas and New Year break, we are having a white elephant gift exchange.  A white elephant is defined as a valuable possession which its owner cannot dispose of and whose cost (particularly cost of upkeep) exceeds its usefulness.  For our white elephant gift exchange, each member should bring a gift which is something he or she wants to get rid of.  It could be a gift you received but never used, or just something you no longer want.  It doesn't have to be expensive to purchase or to maintain.  Gifts should be wrapped prior to the meeting.
