MarathonMasters is a Toastmasters club dedicated to helping its members become better speakers and leaders. Guests are always welcome, so come by for a visit to see what we're all about. We meet Thursdays at noon at Trailside Center located on the southeast corner of Holmes Road and 99th Street in south Kansas City.
With the skills learned from membership in the club, members are able to:
MarathonMasters is having an Open House on Thursday, May 3. If you've ever wanted to grow your confidence and open doors to future possibilites, this is the event for you. Bring a friend, bring a co-worker, but most importantly bring yourself and find out what our club has to offer. There are no obligations and no cost to join us. Best of all there will be wonderful door prizes.
Bring your lunch as you Join us this Thursday from noon until 1:00. We will be at the Trailside Center located on the southeast corner of 99th and Holmes.
Areas in District 22 are conducting their International Speech and Table Topics contests. Our area, S74, will be hosting a combined contest along with S71 and S75 this Saturday, March 10, at the Central Resource LIbrary. Details are as follows:

It's once again time for the semiannual officer training. This time around it will be held at Shawnee Mission North High School. Details are as follows.

Our club is already paid, so you will not need to pay an entrance fee. Lunch can be ordered for $7.50 if you would like, or you are free to leave for lunch if you prefer. The full agenda can be found at the official site.
It's November, and with a new month comes the new opportunity to expand you horizons. To help facilitate your personal growth MarathonMasters is hosting an Open House on November 3. Bring your friends, bring your colleagues, but most importantly, bring yourself. The session is free to everyone and refreshments will be provided. No signup is necessary -- just swing by over your lunch break. We are meeting from noon until 1:00pm at the Trailside Center located at 99th and Holmes Road just north of I-435 this Thursday. We hope to see you there.
The District 22 Fall Conference is upon us. It's taking place this weekend (Oct 28-30) and is sure to be a good time for all who attend. Aside from the wealth of keynote speeches, there will also be the evaluation and humorous speech contests.

MarathonMasters is hosting an Open House on June 2. This is a great time to swing by the club to see what benefits you can gain from it. March 31, 2010 is set aside for a membership drive. As a member you know what great benefits you have received as an experienced communicator and leader. It’s indeed a great gift that we must be shared.
Members, you are invited to bring guests and family to our membership campaign meeting on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at our regular location at Trailside Center. If for any reason you cannot accompany your guests, do invite them to attend anyway, and share our address with them. The address is Trailside Center 9901 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131.
If your guests are history buffs let them know that Trailside is located just off of 3-Trails Crossing Memorial Highway in the heart of the historic 3-Trails Corridor.
Pizza for Dues is that time that comes twice a year where in exchange for your semiannual dues, members get to enjoy some delicious pizza. This time around the special day falls on St Patrick's Day, March 17, so make sure to have a slice with a green pepper. Dues are $42 for six months, or $35 if you're a full time student. If you're unable to make it to the meeting make sure you get your check to Rose, either at another meeting or by mailing it, before the April 1 deadline. Checks should be made out to MarathonMasters. Get your dues in, enjoy some pizza, and also enjoy another six months of polishing your speaking skills.
District 22 is having a bumper sticker contest! If you have an idea for a bumper sticker that helps promote Toastmasters, this is your chance to gain some recognition, notoriety, and a maybe even a prize. Some of the rules for the contest are:
