Area S71/74/75 International Speech and Table Topics Contest (03/16/2013)

Our Area contests will be held on Saturday, March 16th at the Curry Auditorium of HCA Healthcare. Registration is at 1:00pm, and the contest begins at 1:30pm. For your GPS, use 6675 Holmes Rd, KC, MO 64131

No Meeting on December 27

MarathonMasters will not be having a meeting on December 27 to allow our members to spend time with their families or to just take a short break.  We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2013.

District Conference 2-4 Nov

The District 22 Toastmasters Fall Conference is coming to Topeka!

November 2-4, 2012 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel (1717 SW Topeka Blvd 1-800-579-7937).

We'll have great contests, including our own Paul McDonald representing our Division in both the Humorous Speech and Speech Evaluation contests.

Also on tap is our International Director David McCallister, DTM and our special guest speaker - 2001 World Champion of Public Speaking Darren LaCroix!

Division S Speech and Evaluation Contest (10/20/2012)

On Saturday, October 20, Division S will be conducting their annual speech and evaluation contest.  This contest will be held at the Central Resource Library in Johnson County.  Details are as follows.

Area S-74 Speech and Evaluation Contest 9/29/2012

This Saturday afternoon is the Area S-74 Humorous Speech and Evaluation contest.  The contest will be held together with areas S-71 and S-75 at the Curry Auditorium at the Research Brookside Campus.

23 August Meeting at YRC

This Thursday, you'll get to hear about the awesome Toastmasters International's annual convention in Orlando last week.

Rob Christeson attended last weeks convention, and will give you some key takeaways you can use to improve your skills, even though you weren't able to attend the convention.

Next Meeting - July 12th

Marathon Master's next meeting will be in the YRC North Wing, Room 2A (second floor, left out of the elevators). Speaking this week will be April Hendrickson and Rob Christeson. April's speech title will be posted shortly. Rob will be leading a discussion on training programs our club can present to members and potential members alike.

Open House, FREE PIZZA (6/28/2012)

MarathonMasters is having an Open House on Thursday, June 28.  If you've ever wanted to grow your confidence and open doors to future possibilites, this is the event for you.  Bring a friend, bring a co-worker, but most importantly bring yourself and find out what our club has to offer.  There are no obligations and no cost to visit us.  Best of all there will be wonderful door prizes.

Feel free to bring your lunch as you Join us this Thursday from noon until 1:00.  We will be at YRC Freight located on the southwest corner of I-435 and Roe.

Area Contest 3/10/2012

Officer Training 2/4/2012

It's once again time for the semiannual officer training.  This time around it will be held at Shawnee Mission North High School.  Details are as follows.
