As per Rose's suggestion, I've combined the Secretary and Treasurer positions.
It's that time of the year when we get to pick our new officers. At our meeting this week (May 11), we will be deciding who we want to nominate for all our officer positions. If you're a member, be thinking about which positions you might be interested in. If you're already an officer, be thinking about whether or not you want to continue in you current position. Then, next week (May 18) we will vote.
We are having an open house on January 12th. This will be the perfect opportunity to bring new members to the club and show them what we're capable of. But this also means that everyone needs to participate. I urge every member to make the time to attend this very important meeting. We still have a lot of work to do to make this a success.
MarathonMasters will be having an open house on September 8th. This is a perfect opportunity for guests to see how the club operates. In addition, there will be refreshments and door prizes. Come be a part of MarathonMasters and learn more about what we have to offer. It's completely free and there are absolutely no obligations.
We hope to see you there!
Given our departure from Sprint, our club is in need of a new name. The idea is to collect as many names as people can think up, then put it to a vote in a few weeks. So be thinking about what our new name to be. Here are a few guidelines to help you out:
Sprintmasters will no longer be meeting at the Sprint campus due to restrictions placed upon our club by Sprint. We have chosen a new location at St Joseph Hospital, located at I-435 and State Line. We hope the new location will allow us to attract a wider audience than what we've been able to do while under Sprint's thumb. More details to come.
