To celebrate our last meeting before the Christmas and New Year break, we are having a white elephant gift exchange. A white elephant is defined as a valuable possession which its owner cannot dispose of and whose cost (particularly cost of upkeep) exceeds its usefulness. For our white elephant gift exchange, each member should bring a gift which is something he or she wants to get rid of. It could be a gift you received but never used, or just something you no longer want. It doesn't have to be expensive to purchase or to maintain. Gifts should be wrapped prior to the meeting.

Looming directly ahead of us is our semi annual drive for money, otherwise known as pizza for dues. To show support of our dedicated members who selflessly choose to pay their dues of $42 ($35 if you're a full time student) on time, our club provides pizza for all attending members for a day. That day is Thursday, September 17. If you miss this meeting, you will not have another opportunity to enjoy pizza with your MarathonMasters friends for another 6 months. Don't miss out on the fun. You know you want to be there.
